BOSTON (AP) - The price of a gallon of gasoline in Massachusetts has dropped 6 cents in the past week, the second consecutive week of lower prices.

AAA Northeast reported Monday that self-serve, regular is selling for an average of $2.66 per gallon, a dime lower than the in-state price a month ago and also 10 cents less than the national average.

The Bay State price is also 96 cents lower than a year ago.

AAA found self-serve, regular selling for as low as $2.39 and as high as $2.95 per gallon.
