BOSTON (AP) - Gov. Charlie Baker is on the road this week to meet with other Republican governors.

On Sunday, Baker spoke at an evening reception and dinner for the Republican Governors Association in Colorado. Baker press secretary Elizabeth Guyton said his comments were off-the-cuff to a small group and she wasn’t sure what he said.

Guyton said the Republican Governors Association meeting ends on Wednesday. She said Baker and his wife Lauren will spend some time in Aspen before returning to Massachusetts on Friday.

Baker is one of the association’s success stories from last year.

The Republican Governors Association spent more than $10 million in Massachusetts to help Baker defeat his Democratic rival, former state Attorney General Martha Coakley.

That’s almost twice the $5.6 million Baker reported spending from his campaign account.
