NEW YORK (AP) - A Staten Island man was convicted Monday of murder in the 2012 stabbing death of his wife at their home.

Acting Richmond County District Attorney Daniel Master Jr. said the conviction of Jonathan Crupi came after a five-week trial.

Crupi’s wife, 29-year-old Simeonette Mapes-Crupi, was killed in July 2012.

Crupi is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 11. He faces 25 years to life in prison.
