KELSO, Wash. (AP) - The Cowlitz County sheriff’s office is investigating after a 55-year-old Longview man died at the Cowlitz County Jail.

Authorities say there aren’t signs of foul play and it’s not clear yet how he died.

Jail staff tried unsuccessfully to revive the man Sunday night. He was in a medical unit with other inmates when he stopped breathing.

The sheriff’s office says the county coroner will release the man’s name and cause of death.
