BELLINGHAM, Wash. (AP) - Whatcom County sheriff’s detectives believe a man and a child found shot to death near Bellingham were shot by the man’s wife.

The Bellingham Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1HDRFaK ) 59-year-old Michael D. Jordan and his 1-year-old son Miles were found by a real estate agent on Sunday afternoon in their home in Whatcom County.

Undersheriff Jeff Parks said Monday that Jordan’s wife, 43-year-old Erin Agren, was also found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to her chest. Parks says she was taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital and is expected to survive.

Jordan and Agren worked together at the Lummi Nation School.

Real estate agent, Steve Mellenix, said he stopped by their home about 3 p.m. Sunday to show the house to potential buyers. He found the door locked and barricaded. When he got inside, he found the son and father dead and the wife calling for help.
