MOUNTAIN CITY, Tenn. (AP) - The Northeast Correctional Complex in Mountain City is locked down, but prison officials are not saying much about why.

Robert Reburn is the Tennessee Department of Corrections spokesman for the East Tennessee region. He told the Johnson City Press (https://bit.ly/1KhAJYv) there was an “incident” Sunday morning that resulted in an officer being injured.

The officer’s injuries were minor. He was treated and released from the hospital and is doing well.

Reburn said the prison will remain on lockdown until the investigation is complete.
