OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board has announced the hiring of a longtime state employee as its new director.

The five-member board announced Monday the hiring of DeLynn Fudge as the agency’s new executive director. Fudge has spent the last 14 years as federal grants division director for the Oklahoma District Attorneys Council. Before that, she helped train professionals on domestic abuse and child abuse and neglect for the Oklahoma Department of Health’s Office of Child Abuse Prevention.

Fudge will begin her new position on Aug. 10. She replaces Van Guillotte, who resigned in May.

Gov. Mary Fallin applauded Fudge’s hiring, calling her a “skilled manager who will provide guidance and stability to the agency.”
