CLEVELAND (AP) - Authorities have identified two of the three people found dead in a home on Cleveland’s east side.

A spokesman for the Cuyahoga (ky-uh-HOH’-guh) County medical examiner’s office says one of the victims found Friday was 76-year-old Melvin Johnson of Cleveland. Another was 26-year-old K’yara Artis of East Cleveland. The name of a middle-aged woman also found dead hasn’t been released.

A vehicle missing from the home was found Sunday in the Cleveland suburb of Euclid (YOO’-klid). A police spokesman said Monday that detectives hadn’t determined why the three were killed.

Cleveland police found the bodies after neighbors asked for officers to check on the welfare of the home’s occupants. A deputy chief has said it appeared the victims were shot early last week.
