LAS VEGAS (AP) - Las Vegas police say the officers who shot a man with a gun at a Las Vegas hotel Saturday are Jeremiah Beckman and Steven Williams.

Police identified the officers Monday and said 32-year-old Beckman and 38-year-old Williams are on routine paid administrative leave while the shooting is investigated.

Beckman and Williams responded to a call before 1 a.m. from the Shalimar Hotel that a man was sitting in the parking lot with a gun. Police say the officers shot a man after he pointed his gun at them. The man was in stable condition Saturday at a local hospital.

Police say they won’t be releasing the name of the man until a briefing within the week.

The two downtown patrol officers are a part of the agency’s tourist safety division.
