ALBANY, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire State Police’s Marine Patrol says a man drowned at an Albany pond after his canoe overturned.

Authorities were called to Whitton Pond at 11:18 a.m. Sunday after receiving reports that a canoe had capsized and people were in the water.

Police say all three boaters were wearing life jackets, but a man was trapped underneath the canoe.

Witnesses administered CPR to the man. But he was pronounced dead after being brought to the shore.

His identity has not been released.

The incident remains under investigation.
