PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - An Alabama man will spend the next 24 years in prison for molesting two 11-year-old Mississippi girls.

Judge Robert Krebs sentenced Gregory James Kelly, of Theodore, Alabama, on Friday.

The Sun Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1MhzdIg) Kelly was in custody in Gautier on a public drunk charge when he was recorded confiding to his wife that he’d molested the girls.

Krebs also imposed a total of $2,000 in fines plus court fines and a payment to the Victim’s Compensation Fund.

The crimes occurred at different times between June 1, 2013, and July 14, 2013, and again between July 26, 2013, and July 28, 2013.
