SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (AP) - Authorities say a 16-year-old boy has died after being pulled from a pool at a suburban Detroit apartment complex.

Southfield officers responded Monday afternoon to Sutton Place Apartments following a report of a possible drowning. In a statement, police say officers found the Oak Park boy unresponsive. Police say he was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The boy’s name wasn’t immediately released. The death is under investigation.
