NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - The Chickasaw Nation is planning to induct four of its tribal citizens as members of its Hall of Fame.

An induction ceremony will be held Tuesday evening at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Norman.

This year’s honorees include; Thelma Ross, a historic preservationist from Tuttle; Homer Paul, an attorney from Oklahoma City; Rose Shields Jefferson, a Chickasaw linguist from Ada; and the late Rev. Jefferson Davis Frazier, a spiritual leader who died in 2012.

The Chickasaw Nation began inducting tribal citizens to its Hall of Fame in 1987 for significant contributions to the Chickasaw people or the Native American community.
