GARY, Ind. (AP) - A northern Indiana man once convicted of killing two young siblings is out of prison after serving his latest sentences for crimes against children.

Lake County Sheriff John Buncich says 67-year-old Richard Dobeski was taken to a Gary shelter on Sunday, but it was closed. Buncich says Dobeski then took a bus to Indianapolis on Monday. He has until Sunday to register as a sex offender or will be sought for arrest.

Dobeski was released from prison July 16 after serving more than seven years on 2008 convictions for molesting a 7-year-old boy and possessing child pornography.

Dobeski originally was released from prison in 2003 after serving nearly half of a 40-year sentence for the murders of 6- and 3-year-old siblings in the LaPorte County community of Long Beach.
