PUEBLO, Colo. (AP) - A former guard at the Alamosa County jail has been sentenced to 60 days in jail followed by four years of probation for making sexual advances toward an inmate.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports (https://goo.gl/9NxeqZ ) 35-year-old Dale Jordan was sentenced Monday on misdemeanor charges of official misconduct and attempting sexual contact with an inmate.

Prosecutors say he made advances toward a 19-year-old woman who was being held at the jail May 15, 2013. The woman has filed a lawsuit against Jordan in U.S. District Court in Denver, saying her constitutional rights were violated.

Jordan must undergo sex offense treatment and may not see his children until he earns the approval of his treatment supervisor.
