CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee is making a campaign stop in Las Vegas this week.

The former Arkansas governor is scheduled to hold a “Huckabee Huddle” on Thursday evening at the Bootlegger Bistro.

The stop is coming a few hours after Huckabee addresses the American Legislative Exchange Council in San Diego.

Huckabee is one of 16 serious contenders who have declared a bid for the Republican nomination. His campaign and groups helping him have raised about $8 million for his run.

Huckabee visited Carson City in late March and delivered the keynote speech at the Nevada Republican Central Committee’s spring meeting. He entered the race about a month later.
