LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Lexington County sheriff’s deputies are look for three Confederate flags stolen from a monument.

Deputies told local media they are searching for those responsible for taking three flags from the Jefferson Davis Highway monument in the Oak Grove community.

Sheriff’s spokesman Adam Myrick said an anonymous tipster alerted deputies to the missing flags. Investigators think they were taken Friday night or Saturday morning.

There was no vandalism at the monument along U.S. 1 near Lexington.
