SEAL BEACH, Calif. (AP) - A man’s body has been found in a flood control channel in Seal Beach and police are investigating the death as suspicious.

Sgt. Phil Gonshak says someone driving by noticed the body around midday Monday and called police.

Gonshak says the man, who appeared to be between 40 to 50 years old, was lying in the channel near bushes and scattered trash.

The Orange County coroner’s office has not yet identified the man.

Detectives are investigating the case a suspicious death.
