MONTPELIER, Vt. (AP) - Vermont Gov. Peter Shumlin has ordered that flags at all state buildings be flown at half-staff to honor the victims of last week’s shootings in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Four Marines and a sailor were killed in the July 16 shootings.

On Tuesday, Gov. Peter Shumlin said he ordered state flags to be flown at half-staff in keeping with a presidential proclamation.

The order took effect immediately. The flags will return to full staff at sunset on Saturday.
