KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Window-washers dressed up as superheros on Monday to entertain the patients at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital.

The Knoxville News Sentinel reports (https://bit.ly/1IfPDRF) Thor, Captain America, Spider-Man and Catwoman cleaned the hospital’s windows, hanging on ropes suspended from the roof. They also stopped outside the play rooms long enough for pictures with the children and nurses inside.

Michael Priestap is director of environmental services at the hospital. He said the window washers were even popular with people on the street, with some drivers rolling down their windows to yell, clap and cheer.

“Thor” goes by Ernest Eulenfeld when he’s not in costume. He said washing windows as a superhero is the best job he’s ever had.
