PROVO, Utah (AP) - A Springville woman is expected to survive serious injuries sustained when she was ejected from a vehicle that fell 100 feet over the side of a cliff east of Provo.

The Deseret News reports (https://bit.ly/1CTnwW4) 18-year-old Kenzie Morgan was in a car with a 16-year-old driver who police say took a curve too fast, causing the car to fall.

Utah County Sheriff’s Sgt. Spencer Cannon says the car may have rolled over Morgan, who wasn’t wearing a seat belt.

She was taken to the hospital with a broken pelvis and rib injuries. She was listed in critical condition as of Monday.

The driver was also injured and taken to a hospital for treatment.
