GUILFORD, Maine (AP) - The FBI has joined Maine authorities in their search for man who is suspected of killing his ex-girlfriend and has been on the run for 46 days.

Officials say about 15 agents were in Guilford Sunday night to help state police, Piscataquis County authorities and game wardens locate 38-year-old Robert Burton.

Lt. Sean Hashey says the FBI will add additional personnel and technical assistance.

Burton is accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, 37-year-old Stephanie Gebo. Her body was found at her Parkman house on June 5.

Authorities say Burton has been on the run ever since. There was a confirmed sighting of him earlier this month.
