COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - A 31-year-old man is accused of shooting at three teenage boys because his nephew thought his cellphone had been stolen.

The Gazette of Colorado Springs reports (https://bit.ly/1g3HR11 ) that 14-year-old Desmond Smith was shot and killed Saturday and two of his friends ran for cover.

Court records show Desmond and his friends were in a park when 18-year-old Raymond Rogan Jr. asked the boys if they had his stolen cellphone. The younger boys said they did not. After the man walked away, six gunshots were fired.

Both 31-year-old Riccardo Kirven and his nephew, Rogan Jr., are being held in El Paso County Jail without bond on investigation of first-degree murder.
