JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - A Jacksonville man has been sentenced to 45 years in prison for his part in a fatal shooting.

A Duval County judge sentenced 39-year-old Lawrence Albert Williams on Wednesday. He was convicted in May of felony accessory after the fact.

Authorities say 36-year-old Keith Lee Sterling was at a friend’s house last year when a man known as “Dread” drove up in a gold Toyota Camry and shot Sterling.

Police learned that Williams often drove the suspect’s car, but prosecutors say Williams lied to police to protect the identity of the shooter, who still has not been arrested.

The Florida Times-Unions (https://goo.gl/awpuD6 ) reports that a second man is awaiting trial, also charged with accessory after the fact in the same case.
