PASCAGOULA, Miss. (AP) - A Moss Point man has pleaded guilty to shooting a man, robbing him two years later and then escaping from jail, months after his last arrest.

The Sun Herald (https://bit.ly/1g3DIKx ) reports that 23-year-old Cassius D. Cunningham pleaded guilty in Jackson County Circuit Court on Friday to charges of aggravated assault, robbery and jail escape in unrelated cases.

Prosecutors say Cunningham shot a 19-year-old man in Moss Point during an October 2010 drug deal.

In February 2012, Cunningham was accused of stealing a pair of shoes from the same man who was shot.

One month later, police say Cunningham escaped a Moss Point jail for a short time before being captured.

Cunningham’s sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 24.
