HAVERHILL, N.H. (AP) - The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office has not released the names of two Haverhill officers involved in the fatal shooting of a Canterbury man.

Senior Assistant Attorney General Susan Morrell told The Valley News (https://bit.ly/1MjQQqR ) Tuesday the officers’ names will be withheld until they are able to find whether or not the shooting was justified.

Authorities also haven’t released footage from the officers’ body cameras.

The two officers were placed on administrative leave after shooting 42-year-old Hagan Esty-Lennon on July 6.

Police say Esty-Lennon crashed his car in Bath and when police responded, they found him with a knife and an apparent stab wound in the chest.

Authorities say the officers ordered Esty-Lennon to drop the knife and shot him six times when he refused and lunged at them.
