SALEM, Ore. (AP) - A completely overgrown property in Salem has now been cleaned up.

The Statesman Journal reports (https://stjr.nl/1MliCDf ) the home was nearly completely hidden behind a jungle of tall bushes and weeds.

City officials said they sent a notice to the owner of the property requesting the bushes overgrowing the fence be trimmed. The city received a voice mail from a mortgage company that services the property, saying it was going to hire someone to cut down the overgrowth.

The bushes are now gone and the house is visible from all angles.

The city says about 90 percent of cases are resolved after a notice of noncompliance is sent.
