SCRANTON, Pa. (AP) - Police have arrested a man on charges that he paid his brother to set fire to his northeastern Pennsylvania home as part of an insurance scam. The brother was burned setting the fire and died.

Fifty-seven-year-old Diomedes Ceballos of Scranton is facing second-degree murder, arson and other charges in the Saturday fire that destroyed his home, for which he filed an insurance claim of nearly $500,000.

Police had wanted to interview his brother, Aurelio Ceballos, in connection with the fire, but he was found dead of serious burns in an apartment complex on Sunday.

Police say Aurelio Ceballos poured gasoline in the house, and was burned when he set the fire.

Police arrested Diomedes Ceballos on Wednesday. He was taken to a hospital after complaining of chest pains. He was released from the hospital and arraigned Thursday morning.
