DETROIT (AP) - Noisy events along the Detroit River are prompting complaints from across the border in Windsor, Ontario.

The Detroit Free Press reports (https://on.freep.com/1JzX7cY ) the Ultimate White Party, an annual riverfront event where guests are expected to dress in all-white outfits, was playing music into the early morning hours over the weekend at Chene Park.

Event planner Rome Ward, who organized the Ultimate White Party, says it was no different than the event in past years, though.

The party is among a growing number of events along Detroit’s riverfront as part of the city’s revitalization. Norma Coleman, chief of staff to Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens, says noise from parties is expected on both sides of the river, but there was more last weekend.

Detroit says it’s addressing any complaints.
