TEXARKANA, Texas (AP) - A Northeast Texas woman has been charged in the fatal shooting of her former son-in-law at a car dealership where he worked as a manager.

Bowie (BOO’-ee) County jail records show 52-year-old Anne Fisher of Texarkana was being held Thursday on a murder charge. Bond was set at $1 million.

Jail records don’t list an attorney to speak for Fisher. She was booked Wednesday night - hours after the death of 28-year-old Russell Scott Cain of Texarkana.

Texarkana police didn’t immediately release a possible motive for the killing. Lt. Shawn Fitzgerald says Cain and his wife recently divorced and he had custody of their two children.

Cain was shot several times and died at a hospital. Witnesses identified the suspect as Fisher, who was captured minutes later in a vehicle.
