COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A man who admitted last month to sexually assaulting three young women in Columbus last year is heading to prison.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1IlSqXJ ) 31-year-old Michael Callihan was sentenced to 34 years in prison Thursday. The Columbus man pleaded guilty to two counts of rape and one count each of attempted rape, aggravated burglary and burglary.

Prosecutors say he pointed a gun at a woman in May 2014 in a parking lot and began sexually assaulting her. He fled before he was able to rape her.

The second incident happened three days later when he used a ladder to climb through the second-floor window and raped a woman.

The next month, he sexually assaulted a woman while holding her at gunpoint.

Callihan didn’t make a statement in court.
