REDBIRD, Okla. (AP) - Wagoner County authorities say a woman who was picking up cans has been attacked and killed by a pack of dogs.

Television station KOTV reports (https://bit.ly/1HOPSje ) that a witness who saw the woman get attacked in the community of Redbird Friday and managed to chase the dogs away and call for help. But the Sheriff’s Office says the woman died from her injuries before emergency personnel could arrive.

Deputies say the dogs mauled the woman’s face and ripped her clothes apart. Authorities are attempting to identify the victim and additional details were not immediately available.
