MIAMI (AP) - U.S. customs officials say they’ve seized more than 2,000 counterfeit televisions at PortMiami.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection reported Friday that officers seized 2,167 counterfeit TVs with a combined manufacturer’s suggested retail price value of $610,400.

Officers suspected the TVs were counterfeit because of possible infringing recorded MHL and HDMI trademarks.

Officials say the agency protects businesses and consumers by targeting counterfeit and pirated goods.

The agency named China, Hong Kong, Canada, India and United Arab Emirates as the top five countries of origin for counterfeit goods seized by CBP last year.
