NEWPORT, R.I. (AP) - The Newport Folk Festival continues with a second day of music at Fort Adams.

The three-day festival founded in 1959 is marking the 50th anniversary of one of the most important moments in rock history: when Bob Dylan went electric on July 25, 1965. It happened 50 years ago Saturday.

Big acts playing Saturday include The Decemberists and Sufjan Stevens, as well as an unannounced act playing the main stage.

Producers have planned several surprises throughout the weekend, including Sunday’s festival closing, which includes a secret lineup of about a dozen musicians playing in celebration of Dylan’s 1965 performance.
