CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - Two New Hampshire law enforcement K9s are vying for top New England dog honors.

The K9 Hero of the Year will be named at Monday night’s Red Sox game and Law Enforcement Appreciation Night at Fenway Park.

New Hampshire Fish and Game Department’s dog - Sig - and his conservation officer partner Mike Hensel will be honored. Another New Hampshire team in the running is Daisy Mae of the Strafford County Sheriff’s Office and her partner, deputy sheriff Keith MacKenzie.

Sig and Daisy Mae are competing against four other teams from Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut.

Morristown, Vermont, police officer Jason Luneau and his K9, Viper, are among those being honored.



Online voting will help determine the winner.
