FORT PAYNE, Ala. (AP) - Rescuers were able to find two people reported missing after they got lost while fishing and hiking through the High Falls area of DeKalb County.

DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris tells WHNT-TV (https://bit.ly/1HVfECn) that his deputies worked with Geraldine police and rescuers, as well as Grove Oak firefighters, state troopers and a helicopter to find the missing pair.

Rescuers found both safe around 4:30 a.m. Monday. The two told investigators that they started fishing near Alabama 227, and were walking down Town Creek toward High Falls when they became lost.
