July 27—Decades in prison is what one Wynnewood man faces after the sentence came down in his child sexual abuse case.

In reality Eddie Joe Forewood, 51, had two separate but related cases with both accusing him of molesting young girls.

An appearance in Garvin County District Court earlier this week resulted in Forewood being formally sentenced to 50 years behind bars.

More specifically, the defendant was actually given 25 years for each of the cases with those sentences to run consecutive to each other.

In one case Forewood was accused of molesting a five-year-old girl from late 2011 through January 2012.

Around that same time Forewood is also accused of victimizing a nine-year-old girl, in addition to showing the young girls pornographic movies.

A few witnesses took the stand during the hearing Monday to offer the court some of their thoughts before the lengthy prison sentence was handed down by a judge.

The sentencing came after Forewood was convicted of three criminal charges during a non-jury trial this past March in a district courtroom.

After the conviction a pre-sentence investigation shows Forewood claimed to have done nothing wrong.

The report completed by a state probation and parole officer also offered some revealing conclusions about Forewood and his case.

“Forewood used his position of authority and threat to harm to sexually abuse five- and nine-year-old children,” the report stated.

“He hurt these two young girls mentally and emotionally and put the whole community at risk.

“Forewood has mentally and emotionally scared these little girls for life. If he is willing to molest them, then no little girl is safe around him.

“He has taken away things from these girls they will never get back.

“He posed a great risk to society with this behavior.”

The officer compiling the report recommended Forewood receive the maximum term in prison for his conviction.
