July 27—Colorado State University released a video aiming to plainly explain an intricate water project.

A short, animated film explains the history behind the Northern Integrated Supply Project, a regional plan to expand water access. It also explains the supplemental draft environmental impact statement, a second report on how the project could affect the environment.

The video is eight minutes long and can be found at www.cwi.colostate.edu/NISP. Other water issue materials are on the website.

The office produced the video to give residents an unbiased source, said MaryLou Smith in a news release. She is the policy and collaboration specialist with the Colorado Water Institute, part of CSU’s Office of Engagement. Most information is coming from supporters or opponents, she said. The university is neutral.
