July 27—ENID, Okla. — An Enid man injured in a motorcycle accident Saturday has died of his injuries, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Steven C. Siegfried, 58, died of his injuries at 1:56 p.m. Sunday at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, according to an OHP report.

The accident happened at 10:07 a.m. Saturday on 54th two miles east and three miles north of Kremlin.

According to the OHP report, Siegfried was riding a 2000 Harley-Davidson motorcycle north on 54th when he failed to negotiate a curve prior to Union Road. He went off the northeast side of the road and hit a brush pile. The motorcycle flipped, and Siegfried landed 21 feet from the motorcycle.

He was taken first to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, then transferred to OU Medical Center. He suffered head and trunk injuries, according to the report.

The cause of the accident was listed as “unsafe speed for curve.”
