ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - A boat reported missing in Kachemak Bay is out of danger.

KTUU-TV (https://bit.ly/1IApj4Q) reports Coast Guard officials called off a search Sunday night for the boat with a man and two children on board after the man called his wife to say they were fine but running late.

The search had begun several hours before.

The 20-foot boat left Homer on a halibut fishing trip Saturday. It was due back Sunday afternoon.

A C-130 search plane flew over Kachemak Bay trying to spot the boat in rainy conditions.
