SIOUX CITY, Iowa (AP) - The City Council has scheduled a vote for Monday on whether to order the demolition of a mansion in the Rose Hill historic district.

The 125-year-old building was flagged by the city in August 2013 for severe rot and other structural issues. In February the council gave the current owner, Salvador Carrasco, 150 days to at least make significant progress on renovations.

The Sioux City Journal reports (https://bit.ly/1I4ASLS ) that city records say he’s failed to make sufficient progress.
