HOMER, Alaska (AP) - Coast Guard crews are asking mariners in the Kachemak Bay to watch for a 20-foot boat that was last seen more than a day ago.

KTUU-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1IApj4Q ) that the fishing boat carrying a man and two children left Homer on a halibut fishing trip Saturday. It was supposed to return Sunday afternoon but had not been sighted by 6 p.m.

A C-130 search plane has been flying over the bay trying to spot the missing vessel. The weather has been overcast and rainy, with rough seas.
