PITTSBURGH (AP) - A man has pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in a shooting death that authorities said followed an argument outside a bar.

Prosecutors in Allegheny County said 24-year-old Loc Duc Vong entered the plea Monday prior to the start of jury selection on a criminal homicide charge.

Vong also pleaded guilty to a firearms charge. Prosecutors said a plea agreement calls for a term of 4½ to nine years to be imposed when he is sentenced Oct. 10.

Authorities said Vong and 18-year-old Michael Palombia were at the Brownsville Inn for several hours in November 2013 before they got into an argument outside and Vong shot Palombia.

Police said Vong surrendered later in the day, bringing the weapon in a zippered plastic bag and saying “I am the shooter.”
