HOUMA, La. (AP) - State police say a man has been killed in Houma in a shooting involving officers from three law enforcement agencies.

Evan Harrell, a state police spokesman, told the Courier (https://bit.ly/1JqBPTn ) that state police, the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office and Houma Police Department were involved in Monday’s shooting.

Sheriff Jerry Larpenter’s office says no officers were injured.

Investigators told WDSU-TV (https://bit.ly/1JqBPTn ) that the shooting took place after a pursuit of a theft suspect and that officers used a tire deflation device to stop the suspect’s vehicle. Police say the suspect got out of his vehicle and pointed a weapon toward the officers.

His name has not been released.

The Houma Police Department is also assisting the Louisiana State Police investigation of the shooting.
