DETROIT (AP) - Detroit police say shootings at two separate outdoor gatherings left one person dead and five others wounded.

Police say three people were shot Sunday night at a park on the city’s east side where several hundred people had gathered. Police say a man was in critical condition and two other people were in stable condition after being shot at Maheras-Gentry Park.

Police say they’re seeking two suspects.

Separately, police say a 19-year-old man died and two other people were wounded in a shooting around 3 a.m. Monday as a weekend-long block party was wrapping up on the city’s east side. Police say the shooting happened during a robbery attempt.

The violence comes after shootings at two June block parties. Police have said they’re concerned about potential violence at such gatherings.
