SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (AP) - A Springfield man police refer to as “notorious drug dealer” who was out on bail on a previous drug arrest has been arrested again on drug distribution and trafficking charges.

Police say 63-year-old Jose Barbot was arrested Saturday after he was spotted allegedly selling drugs to two people.

Sgt. John Delaney says a search of his home uncovered more than $15,000 in cash, 580 pills and about 60 grams of crushed pills.

Barbot was charged with two counts of possession of oxycodone and one count of trafficking in a class A substance.

He was arrested on drug charges in February and was out on $10,000 bail at the time of his latest arrest.

He is being held without bail pending his arraignment Monday in Springfield District Court.
