PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Numerous charges have been filed against a man Portland police say tried to have sex with a minor.

Sgt. Pete Simpson said Monday that 61-year-old William Moses responded to fake online advertisement posted by the bureau’s sex-trafficking unit. According to Simpson, Moses said during the online conversation that he’d like to have sex with a minor.

He was arrested at a meeting spot arranged by police in outer southeast Portland.

Moses was booked into jail on charges of attempted sex abuse, patronizing a prostitute, purchasing sex with a minor, luring and endangering a minor, using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct and other crimes.
