SAN FRANCISCO (AP) - The search is intensifying for a San Francisco teacher who has been been missing for 10 days.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1I51dtn ) Monday that 46-year-old Edward Cavanaugh was last seen July 17. He was driving a motorcycle on a trail through El Dorado County, about three hours east of San Francisco Bay Area, and was with another driver before splitting off on his own.

Officers say they began searching for Cavanaugh on Saturday. More than 50 volunteers are now helping comb El Dorado and neighboring counties by foot, car and helicopter.

A spokeswoman for San Francisco Unified School District told the newspaper that people at the school are worried about the popular veteran teacher.
