BEDFORD, Mass. (AP) - Police have arrested a second person in connection with a violent home invasion in Bedford that sent three people to the hospital, one with a gunshot wound.

Police tell The Sun (https://bit.ly/1IqlNI8 ) that 21-year-old Michael Gonzalez, of Lowell, was arrested Monday and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, armed robbery while masked, possession of a firearm during a felony, and other offenses in connection with the home invasion last Wednesday.

He is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.

Another Lowell man, 20-year-old Vini Bunted Proeung, faces similar charges.

Police say three people forced their way into a Bedford apartment looking for marijuana. One resident was shot and two others were beaten.

Bedford’s police chief says the shooting was the first in town in about a decade.
