NEWARK, N.J. (AP) - Three men are heading to prison in connection with a 2013 fatal shooting of a man outside his uncle’s funeral in northern New Jersey.

NJ.com reports (https://bit.ly/1OxECJM ) a judge sentenced 25-year-old Laquan Willis Monday to five years in prison in the shooting death of 22-year-old Jahid Devlin. Twenty-seven-year-old Nakeish Fleming and 30-year-old Robert Laboo were each sentenced to four-year prison terms.

Prosecutors say Willis shot Devlin outside the Churchman Funeral Home in Newark after memorial services were held for Devlin’s uncle. Investigators say the shooting was part of a monthlong gang war.

Willis pleaded guilty to reckless manslaughter. Fleming and Laboo each admitted to conspiracy to commit aggravated assault.
